Fort Collins Brewery: Chocolate Stout

Fort Collins Brewery:  Chocolate Stout
Serving Type: bottle poured into glass
Appearance(A): jet black. opaque.  tan head, one finger thick which lingers.
Smell (S): roast.
Taste (T): roast. bitter finish
Mouthfeel (M): acidic to the tongue.  bottle says it is has a "velvety mouthfeel"....I give them that.
Drinkability (D): many stouts by nature are generally not very "drinkable" IMHO, especially this one which is heavier and more flavorful than a Guinness.
Verdict interesting but not delicious.  although to be fair, this may apply to all stouts.
Rating: 7.0
